It's been a while since I've making music has flowed easily for me (since the recording of Strays tbh), so I've been taking a nice long break from composing instead of banging my head against the writers block wall. I've also been thinking about Sophie and her legacy as a musician and trans woman (she was a vanguard for both my people and one of the few truly new styles of music to emerge this century) so downloaded her 2017 sample pack and decided to play around with it.

Much to my surprise I found music easily flowing out of me, and what emerged was this EP. It's very much footwork-adjacent dance music in my usual style, but I think the Sophie samples (and some of the generative features of the Polyend Play) lend it a density and micro-level complexity that I've never been able to achieve before. Aside from that it's just loud and heavy and I love that shit. My rave going friends seem to like it, and I hope you do too!
